Thank you for being a valued MPN Peoria supporter by taking part in our inaugural MPN Peoria hike last year or by your generous donation or sponsorship. If you are new to MPN Peoria, we warmly welcome you!
The unprecedented circumstances and uncertainty that this year has brought to all of us, have also presented a challenge to us with our 2020 hike date and logistics. So much thought and planning have been put into various options, including cancelling it all together. After much consideration we have chosen to move forward and have the 2020 MPN Peoria hike VIRTUALLY in an effort to keep all of you as safe as possible. We didn’t make this decision lightly and without a bit (a lot) of disappointment that we can’t all be together physically to hit the trails.
As the saying goes when a door closes, a window opens. We are so excited and now see all the opportunities we have before us to make this event a great success and to continue to remain on course to raise much needed funds for research, treatment advancements and ultimately a cure for these rare blood cancers.
Here is how this year’s hike will work:

YOU CHOOSE! You get to hike at your favorite place, at your own pace... your choice!

SHARE THE FUN! Grab your friends, your family, your pets, your bike... whatever brings you joy and hit a trail, a path, a street, or beach, your own happy place, anytime between August 1st - 8th!

WIN MAUI JIM SUNGLASSES! The name of every person that registers will also be placed in a drawing to win a pair of Maui Jim sunglasses.

WITH A FULL HEART! On August 8th I will carry each of you with me not only in my heart but also in my backpack. I will personally hike with each registered participant’s name in my backpack as a sign of gratitude for your support and hope for those living with MPNs. Let’s stuff my backpack as full as I know my heart will be.

SPREAD THE WORD! Here’s the best part, people across the nation can join this hike; get your family and friends in another city, state, country to join us to hike for a cure. Please spread the word.

WIN A YETI COOLER! #iamhikingforacure The week of the hike wear your MPN t-shirts post your pictures of where you are hiking on MPN Peoria social media pages or just email them to us and we will post them. Use the hashtag #iamhikingforacure, which gives you another great chance to win. Every person that joins our “I’m hiking for a cure” movement by posting a picture of your hike the week of Aug 1 - 8th will be entered into a drawing to win a YETI Cooler.
Now more than ever our mission is so important and we need your support. Unfortunately cancer does not take a break and with this cancer there is no cure. We may not all be on the same trail this year but we are together and united in the same goal.
