The rain held off and it ended up being a beautiful morning for the 1st Annual MPN Peoria Hike. With over 300 hikers the trails were filled with energy and emotion. WHOI ABC anchor Jenise Rebholz kicked off the morning, with talks from Dr. Michele Couri, MPN Peoria Fpunder and PV patient, and Marsha Krone, beloved area teacher and MF patient. Fr. Willard of St. Vincent de Paul gave a beautiful prayer and blessing before the hikers took off.
The morning also included a successful raffle with some awesome items. The support of the sponsors, donors, hikers and entire community is what made this day an overwhelming success.
