Please briefly describe your role in the MPN community.
As Oncology Clinical Nurse Educator with Incyte, I have the privilege to speak with and provide education to APs and Allied Health Care Professionals about MPNs. I also participate in our patient programs and Facebook Live events that bring education to patients and caregivers.
In your opinion, what is the significance of Rare Disease Month/Day pertaining to MPNs?
Rare Disease Month and Day is a wonderful time to bring to light rare diseases like MPNs to the broader community and give a voice to those affected by them. People want to be seen, heard, and understood, and this is a great time to be able to do just that. It’s an important time to honor all those who are impacted by MPNs.
